Content policy
DraftMature stories for adults. Clear limits around explicit content, exploitation and real-world harm. Draft for the closed M2 release.
Adult stories, with room for difficult themes
Adult romance, flirting, kissing, emotional drama, horror, fictional violence and dark themes are allowed. Sexual scenes fade to black or move to the aftermath; Koimo does not generate explicit sexual descriptions.
A firm boundary around minors
Sexual content involving real or fictional minors is prohibited, including characters described or portrayed as under 18. Attempts to relabel an otherwise minor character do not make the content acceptable. Koimo chat is restricted to adult users.
Safety outside the story
When the system detects possible real-world self-harm risk, it replaces the character’s reply with a neutral support message. The message may suggest local emergency care, reaching out to someone trusted and configured regional resources. Koimo cannot provide emergency help. Fictional peril should not be treated as proof of real-world risk, but automated checks can make mistakes.
Age pauses and blocked content
A statement that the user is under 18 pauses chat and requires an age check; repeated pauses may require review. Requests for prohibited content receive an appropriate replacement instead of a character reply. Safety events are recorded as categories and identifiers without copying message text into the safety log.
Privacy and other people
Do not share private information about other people without permission, impersonate private individuals publicly, threaten people or use the service for exploitation or unlawful harm. Import only material you have a right to use. Private imports and rebuilt characters cannot be made public through this release.
Publication and reports
The public library is closed. Publication, reporting, human review and copyright processes require a separate release and operational approval. A publication route existing in the code does not mean it is open to users.
Before this policy becomes final
The operator must complete the support and appeals contact, review procedure, regional crisis-resource coverage and copyright process before the relevant features open. This draft does not claim comprehensive crisis detection, clinical support or completed legal compliance.
